We’re a coaching team who got tired of fighting with clunky tools every time we needed to make play-call armbands. So we built something better.
Brandon Brown
Co-Founder & Developer
Brandon has coached baseball and softball for over 15 years, from 8U rec ball all the way through high school varsity. His teams have won multiple PGF championships, and he’s spent more late nights than he can count building game plans, organizing play sets, and prepping for tournaments.
He’s also been in tech for over 20 years — building software, solving problems, and wondering why nobody had made a decent tool for something as simple as a play-call wristband. One night after a particularly painful session with a spreadsheet and a pair of scissors, he decided to just build it himself. That’s how Armband Creator started.
Carissa Brown
Co-Founder & Coaching Advisor
Carissa played softball through college at David Lipscomb University, earning All-State honors along the way. She knows the game inside and out — not just from the coaching box, but from years of playing at a high level.
Now she coaches alongside Brandon and is the team’s go-to for pitch calling and game strategy. She’s been a key voice in shaping how Armband Creator works — making sure it actually fits the way real coaches think and prep. If something in the app feels intuitive, there’s a good chance Carissa pushed for it.
Why We Built This
Because Coaches Deserve Better Tools
Every season, coaches across the country waste hours wrestling with spreadsheets, word processors, and generic design tools just to make a simple wristband. We’ve been there — cutting tiny cells out of an Excel printout at 11pm the night before a tournament. It shouldn’t be that hard.
We built Armband Creator because we wanted the tool we wished existed. Something fast, simple, and made specifically for coaches — not designers, not spreadsheet experts, just coaches who need to get their plays on a wristband and get back to the field.
